A WAFFLE A DAY…

It wasn’t just me that was hungry..

Ingredients:
4 dl whole grain spelt flavor
2 tbs erythritol
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cardamom
4 dl milk
5 eggs
2 tbs canola oil

Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix it together. Add milk in small portions at a time, stir well between each time to avoid lumps.

Stir in the eggs and add the canola oil. Let the batter swell for a short while, and cook the waffles until golden and crisp!


Maria (søsteren min) kom hjem i går kveld fra Sverige, så jeg tenkte hvorfor ikke lage noen deilige, sunne vafler til frokost! Hun er sjeldent hjemme, så da er det alltid hyggelig å gjøre det litt ekstra koselig når hun først er hjemme. Jeg pleier egentlig bare å bytte ut hvetemel, sukker og smør..  og bruker heller grovt speltmel, sukrin og rapsolje.

Maria (my sister) came home yesterday evening from Sweden, so I thought why not make some delicious, healthy waffles for breakfast! She’s not home often, so it’s always nice to do something special when she’s here. I usually just use the normal waffle recipe and replace the  white flavor, sugar and butter.. and use whole grain spelt flavor, erythritol and canola oil instead.
